"Day Crew" Makes Quick Work of Afternoon Trailer Fire

At 12:46 Hrs Station's 3 and 9 were alerted to the 46000 block of Leesa Court for the reported trailer fire. Engine 31 (LT. Waikart) marked up moments after dispatch. Truck 3 (Capt. Fairfax) And Squad 3 (Sgt Thomas) along with units from Station 9, 13 and 6 responded. Engine 31 arrived on scene laying a line to side "A' of the trailer. Engine 31 advised incoming units they had smoke showing. Engine 31 quickly stretched a 1.75 handline into the trailer finding moderate fire conditions involving the living room, kitchen and hallway. The fire was quickly controlled by Engine 31's crew. At 12:54 Hrs LT Waikart advised command the fire was knocked and to stage all additional units other than Truck 3. Truck 3 entered the structure and performed extensive overhaul. Units returned to service. Chief 3A (Wahrenbrock) held the command.
