Vehicle Overturned With Subject Trapped

On Thursday January 5, 2012 at 0443 hours units from the Bay District Co. 9, Hollywood Co. 7, Solomon's Co. 3 and Lexington Park VRS were dispatched to the area of 46021 Patuxent Beach Road for the Auto Accident with Reports of a Vehicle Overturned and a subject trapped. Chief-3A (R. Wahrenbrock), E-92, SQ-7 and R-83 all responded and arrived at 0452 hours with Chief-3A advising of a single vehicle on its roof and one person trapped and established Command of the Incident. E-92 arrived and pulled a 1 3/4" protection line and started securing the power to the vehicle and provided stabilization. SQ-7 arrived and CAPT-7 (R. Brady) was given the Extrication Group Supervisor and assisted with Stabilization and began extrication on the vehicle removing both passenger side doors and the "B" post area. Extrication was completed in roughly 10 minutes and Ambulance 387 after an assessment of the patient requested a Medivac for a Category "C" Priority 2 patient. Ambulance 387 transported the patient to the hanger and Chief 3-A terminated Command placing all units in service.
