Two Trapped on Saint Andrews Church Road

At 2144 hours Co. 9, SQ-7, EMS-38 and EMS-79 and the Medic Unit were dispatched to Saint Andrews Church Road in the area of the Walden Center for a Motor Vehicle Accident with possible entrapment. E-92 and SQ-7 responded shortly after dispatch with communications advising they had recieved additional calls of entrapment. E-92 arrived on the scene and advised C-9B (Warren) they had a two vehicle head-on, one vehicle on its side with entrapment in each vehicle. C-9B advised dispatch to add an additional Heavy Rescue Squad, alerting SQ-3 who was already on the air with a crew. SQ-7 arrived shortly after E-92 along with C-7B (Riley) who assumed the "Saint Andrews Road Command' at 2150 hours. The crew from E-92 and SQ-7 made quick work of stabilizing both vehicles and setting up for extrication. The crews from SQ-7 and SQ-3 extracated both patients within 20 minutes of arrival. One patient was air-lifted by Trooper-7 to Baltimore Shock Trauma; Category A, Priority-2 and the other two patients were transported by ground to SMH. All units returned to service and quarters at 2228 hours.
