On January 18, 2010 at 1208 hours, the Volunteers from Bay District, Lexington Park EMS and Hollywood EMS were dispatched to Three Notch Road and Miramar Way for the MVA with injury. Engine 92 (Sgt. Surratt), Squad 3 (FF. Carroll) and Car 3 (Capt. Wahrenbrock) all responded at dispatch fully staffed. Engine 92 arrived on the scene at 1212 hours and advised that the accident was actually on Miramar way and Sgt. 9 established the Miramar Way Command. Squad 3 arrived at 1213 hours and found the need for a door pop. Capt. Wahrenbrock arrived at 1215, assumed the command of the incident, and assigned Sgt. Surratt as the operations. As the squad's crew was setting up for the extrication, Engine 92 secured power to the vehicle, pulled a 1 3/4" protection line and stabilized the vehicle. Once all was setup, the Squad's crew popped the door and the patient was removed within 10 minutes of the Fire Departments arrival. Ambulance 398 transported one person to SMH Priority 2 and all units were in quarters at 1300 hours.
