MVA on Chancellors Run Road
By Webmaster Jason Adams
March 29, 2008
On Saturday, March 29, 2008 the Bay District Volunteers were alerted to an auto accident with injuries at Chancellors Run Road at Strickland Road. E92, Command 9 (Lt. Warren) and Deputy Chief 9 (Jones) arrived within two minutes of dispatch and report a four vehicle MVA with one vehicle on top of a passenger car. Further investigation revealed all patients out of the vehicles and one patient required med-evac transportation to PG Shock Trauma.
The impact of the accident caused one vehicle to situate itself on top of another vehicle and was leaking gasoline. Due to the gasoline leaking on the car and into the engine compartment a foam operation was initiated to protect the crews and tow service when they arrived.
Additional units responded to assist with water supply (E33) for the foam operation and E91 handled the landing zone in a nearby field.
