Motor Vehicle Accident with One Into a Cemetery

On Sunday March 9, 208 at 07:54 hours, Bay District Volunteers were alerted for a Motor Vehicle Accident with injuries at the intersection of Chancellors Run Road @ St Georges Drive with one of the vehicles off the road into the Cemetery. Engine 92, Squad 3 and Chief 9B were on the road in less than 2 minutes. At 07:58 hours, Engine 92 under the direction of Sgt 9B (Jack Hare) arrived on the scene of a two vehicle accident with a SUV off the road along with a downed SMECO pole and established the Chancellors Run Road Command until the arrival of the Deputy Chief. Right after units arrived, bystanders were advising that 5 occupants were involved in the accident. At 08:01 hours, Chief 9B (Marvin 'Rooty' Jones) arrived on location assuming the Chancellors Run Road Command and Sgt 9B assuming Operations. The crew from Engine 92 went to work checking on the injured and stabilizing the SUV for patient removal. At 08:02 hours, Squad 3 arrived under the direction of acting officer Porscha Thomas and the crew split up securing batteries, debris removal, and providing additional cribbing for the injured occupant in the SUV. After the Ambulance crew examined one of the patients involved, a helicopter was requested bringing MSP Trooper 7 to the scene. The crew from Engine 92 landed the helo at the Regional Park. Units operated on the scene until 08:55 hours.
