By Fire Sergeant Steven Vanness
March 29, 2015

At 0640 hours company 3 was alerted to 21327 Windsor Drive for reported building fire.

Engine 32 (Sgt. Hayden) marked up at dispatch with 4 personnel. Engine 32 arrived finding a two story duplex with smoke showing from the second floor. Engine 32's lineman stretched a 1.75" crosslay to the second floor where they were met with fire conditions in a bedroom. Chief 3 arrived and established command. Engine 32's crew quickly put out the fire as Engine 132 pulled a backup line to the second floor. Truck 3 arrived and assisted with ventilation and preformed primary search and the secondary search was completed by Engine 93. Both searches were negative.

Command held Engine 32 and himself while awaiting the Fire Marshall. Everyone else returned to service. No injuries were reported.

This incident is under investigation through the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office.
