Little Bit Of History Of Patuxent River Fire Department
By Public Information Officer Douglas Medley
March 18, 2015
This is going to be some pictures of the Naval Air Station Fire Department at Patuxent River, Maryland back in the day. Now hold on before you get on me about putting pictures on our website about another department but I just want to tell you that we have had a lot of our members who worked on board the base. So if nothing else, they might see some of these and enjoy them. I mean our current President, Mr. Johnson, used to work there along with many of our past chiefs.
I want to thank Mr. Anthony Hammett of the Seventh District VFD for providing me with these pictures. Anthony retired as a Captain from Patuxent River Fire Department.
A young George Kennett retired and with the 7th district rescue squad.
Burning one of the old world war two barracks years and years ago.
A nice picture of Anthony Hammett former firefighter at NAS currently retired and member of 7th District VFD. Thanks for the pictures Anthony.
