E-32 Week 3, SQ-3 Progress Report Week 8 for 10/31/14

By Committee Chairmen Steve Stockwell
November 3, 2014

In the photos below you can see the progression of E-32 and SQ-3. It does appear the department committee members will be out at Pierce, nearly the same time to complete final inspections of both. This is due to Engines essentially being smaller and 3 workshifts at the main plant as opposed to the 2 shifts at the Truck/Heavy Rescue/ARFF facility.

E-32's progression has been the completion of the paint for all the apparatus. Wiring has started on the cab and interior, The frame is now rolling, with wheels and awaits engine and tranny installation. The body is completely painted along with the painting of the pumphouse/Pump Panel. Next up for 32 is the lights installed on the cab and the Mid-Inspection should be very shortly.

SQ-3's progression is moving but just the tedious day-in-day out work of wiring. Some of the shelving has been installed and both the drivers side and passengers side are about the same in work completed and installation of equipment. One good note is in the interior the walk-way bench has been installed. Over the next couple weeks will include the same kind of work.

Stay tuned.

Units: E-32 and SQ-3
