On August 11, 2012 at 1419 hours, Bay District 3 & 9, NDWFD 13, Second District 6, Hollywood 7, and Lexington Park VRS 39 & 38 responded for a basement fire on Midway Drive. Engine 32 with Sgt. Ticson and Squad 3 with Sgt. Dean responded within a minute of dispatch. Engine 32 laid a supply line from Midway Drive & Bunker Hill Road. Engine 32 arrived on scene to advise of a single family home with smoke showing from Side B. Engine 32's crew deployed a 1 3/4" handline to the basement stairway on side B. Engine 132 arrived on scene and picked up Engine 32's line. Chief 3A arrived at this time establishing command. Squad 3 arrived, went to work preforming a primary seach and ventilation. Engine 91 assumed a secondary water supply. The fire was quickly knocked by Engine 32's crew, Chief 3A held it with the units on scene and returned the rest. Crews checked for extension and vented the structure, all units were in cleared within 30 minutes.
